Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing, timelines, ownership, support and how we work — answered plainly so you can decide before you enquire.

Getting started

How do I start a project with Codeglint?

Send us a short brief through the contact form, by email or on WhatsApp. We reply within one business day to arrange a 20–30 minute discovery call. After that call you receive a written scope, timeline and fixed price, usually within two working days. Nothing is billable until you sign.

Do you charge for quotes or consultations?

No. Discovery calls, requirement discussion and the written proposal are free. We only invoice once a scope is signed.

What information should I prepare before the first call?

What the software should do, who will use it, any systems it must connect to, your rough budget range and your target launch date. If you have reference websites or apps you like, bring those too — they save a lot of explaining.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, before we discuss anything confidential. Send us yours or use our standard one-page mutual NDA.

Do you work with startups and small businesses?

Most of our clients are small and mid-sized businesses. For early-stage products we usually recommend a tightly scoped first version so you can put something real in front of users before spending the full budget.

Pricing & payment

How much does a website or app cost?

Websites start at $499, WordPress sites at $299, mobile apps at $1,499, IoT prototypes at $2,500 and custom software at $3,500. Full package details are on the pricing page.

Is the price fixed or does it change?

Fixed against the signed scope. It changes only if you add to that scope, and any addition is quoted and approved by you in writing before we build it.

What is the payment schedule?

Typically 40% on signing, 30% on design approval and first working build, and 30% on final delivery. Larger projects can be split across more milestones. AMCs are billed monthly or quarterly in advance.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer in INR, USD or GBP, UPI, Razorpay and Wise. GST-compliant invoices are issued for Indian clients.

Do you offer EMI or staged payments for small businesses?

For projects above $2,000 we can spread payments across additional milestones. We do not offer credit, but we are flexible about how the milestones are structured.

Delivery & timelines

How long will my project take?

A five-page website takes two to three weeks; a larger business site three to five. WooCommerce stores run four to six weeks. Mobile apps take six to twelve weeks depending on scope. IoT projects with hardware take eight to sixteen. Custom software depends on module count and is dated in the proposal.

What causes projects to run late?

Almost always inputs, not code — content arriving late, feedback split across several people, or a decision that changes after design approval. We flag these risks at kickoff and track them weekly.

How will I know what is happening during the build?

A written progress note every week, a live staging link you can open any time, a demo call every fortnight and direct access to your lead developer for anything urgent.

Can you work faster if I need it urgently?

Sometimes, by adding people or reducing scope for the first release. Rush delivery carries a 20–30% premium because it means moving other work. We will tell you honestly whether a date is achievable.

Ownership & technology

Do I own the source code?

Yes. On final payment all source code, design files, documentation and IP transfer to you. Code is pushed to a repository in your own GitHub or Bitbucket account throughout the project, not handed over as a zip at the end.

Whose name are the domain and hosting in?

Yours, always. We can manage the accounts for you under an AMC, but the ownership stays with you and you can revoke our access at any time.

Which technologies do you use?

React, Next.js, Node.js, Laravel, PHP and Python on the web; WordPress and WooCommerce for content sites; Kotlin, Swift and Flutter on mobile; ESP32, STM32 and Raspberry Pi with MQTT for IoT. We deliberately choose mainstream stacks you can hire for.

Can another developer take over later?

That is the point of how we build. Standard frameworks, documented code, a README that explains setup, and no proprietary layer of ours in the middle. Any competent developer can pick it up.

After launch

What support is included after launch?

Ninety days of free bug fixing on anything within the original scope. New features and content changes during that period are quoted separately or covered by an AMC.

What does an AMC cover?

Hosting management, security and framework updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring, bug fixes and a fixed pool of change hours each month. Plans start at $99 per month; details are on the pricing page.

What are your support response times?

Site down or critical failure: within 4 working hours. Major functional issues: same business day. Minor bugs and change requests: within 2 working days. AMC clients take priority over new-project work.

Will you maintain a site built by someone else?

Yes, after a paid audit of the code, hosting, security and backup setup. Occasionally the audit shows that a rebuild costs less than maintaining what exists — if so, we will say that plainly.

Working with international clients

Do you work with clients outside India?

Regularly — UK, US, UAE, Singapore and Australia. Calls are scheduled in your timezone and we invoice in USD or GBP.

How do we handle timezone differences?

We hold a fixed weekly call at a time that works for you and keep an asynchronous written update so progress is never blocked waiting for a call. Our team overlaps with UK hours comfortably and with US Eastern mornings.

How do international payments work?

Bank transfer or Wise, invoiced in your currency. Indian export invoicing rules apply; we handle the paperwork on our side.

Can you sign our company's contract instead of yours?

Yes. We are happy to work under your MSA, NDA and IP terms provided they are reasonable. We will flag anything we cannot agree to before signing.

Still have a question? Email codeglintsoftware@gmail.com or call +91 96730 18702. We answer enquiries within one business day, and we will tell you if we are not the right fit for your project rather than taking the work anyway.

Ready to build something that works?

Tell us what you have in mind. We will come back within one business day with a scope, a timeline and a fixed price.
